Build Setup – PVP Warlock Build Destiny 2 D2
Welcome to the PVP Warlock Build for Destiny 2. Warlocks in Destiny 2 are very strong and super agile in the air. Especially with the right game style you will get more kills with this Warlock Build with significantly less deaths.
Below you will find a overview. These are all important parts of the PVP Warlock Build.
All these aspects make the PVP Warlock Build for Destiny 2 D2 such good, a more detailed layout can be founded below in each build sections.
- Best mobility
- Quite fast acceleration
- Nice synergies with exotic armor
- Very strong Super with with which you are very fast and agile
Skill Tree – Warlock PVP Build D2
To achieve maximum success with your Warlock in PvP it is important that you choose the right subclass and skills.
You should choose Attunement of Sky or simply said Top Tree Dawnblade. This will give you access to the icarus dash which makes you incredibly fast and agile. Besides that you also have with Celestial fire a very good ranged melee ability with which you can finish off super battered opponents or create an initial advantage to then push.
If you hold down your grenade button you can also get heat rises which keeps you in the air even longer and improves your in-air-accuracy significantly. This can be very powerful depending on the map, but sometimes it’s more valuable to have your grenade ready.
Synergies with exotic armour – Warlock Build D2
For our PVP Warlock Build two different exotics fit very well. Depending on the playstyle and map, I would choose one or the other.
The first option is Transversive steps. They increase your sprint speed by about 5% and also slightly increase your slide range and jump height (only from the first normal jump, not from floating). In addition, they automatically reload your weapons after you have sprinted for about 2 seconds. This can be a matchwinner in PvP as you can easily catch up with enemies that try to flee with the increased speed and your weapon is freshly reloaded when the firefight continues.
The other option is Ophidian Aspect. They increase the range of your melee. This can be very nasty in combination with shotguns. But the most important thing is that they give plus 30 to handling and reload stat. This makes any weapon with 70 handling feel like it has pre-nerf quickdraw on it. It is clearly noticeable that the weapons feel snappier and faster.
Mods and Stats – Warlock Build D2
For Warlocks in general, I always recommend going for max discipline and recovery. In the best case 100 discipline 100 recovery 70 resilience and 70 intellect. Why exactly tier 7 for intellect and resilience?
With Tier 7 Resilience, you have the best chance of intercepting one more bullet across all weapons before you go down. Of course it plays a big role which weapons the opponents play and how well they hit and from which distance they shoot and so on. But my tests have shown that Tier 7 is the best.
Up to Tier 7 Intellect you get 23 seconds less cooldown per higher Intellect level. On Tier 8 but only 13 that is then such a small increase that it is almost no longer worth it to pay attention to it.
To get the maximum out of this build and at the same time play the best of the season I recommend the following mods:
Must-Have:
- Taking Charge
- Targeting Mods who matching your weapons (Helmet)
- Unflinching Mods who matching your weapons (Chest)
- High-Energy Fire
Fill Up with:
- Mobility / Recovery / Resilience Mods to get as near to 100 / 100 / 70 as possible. (I do not recommend using Intellect Mods since they need 5 Energy)
- Powerful Friends (Arc)
- Radiant Light (Arc)
- Dexterity Mods who matching your weapons (Arms)
- Scavenger Mods who matches your Special Weapon (Leg)
- Utility Kickstart (Stasis, Class Item)
Playstyle – Warlock Build Destiny 2 D2
The Top Tree Dawnblade is the master of the air. With heat rises, you can very accurately distribute headshots over very large ranges on the open maps. But even in tighter maps, the icarus dash gives you advantages in agility and speed. With the changed cooldowns on the grenades, you can get a cooldown of 24 seconds with the firebolt grenade, which is very strong to be able to activate heat rises very often or to eliminate an enemy behind a cover.
