Skill Tree – Arc 3.0 Warlock Build Destiny 2 D2
For general gameplay without specific strategies, I generally recommend equipping the healing rift. It gives you a decisive advantage when you have to defend a position for a short time or fight against a major that does a lot of damage.
I recommend either the storm grenade or the pulse grenade for this build. Both work great in this arc build for Warlock in Destiny2.
The melee skill doesn’t play such a big role as we will be using the short teleport most of the time due to our aspect more info later.
First, we use electrostatic mind to make our arc abilities kills spawn ionic traces. Additionally, we are now amplified every time we pick up an ionic trace. This arc aspect gives us two fragment slots.
Second, we take lightning surge. This means that when we use our charged melee ability while sliding, we teleport forward a bit and make it rain lightning. Enemies that are hit will be jolted and because of the first aspect we will spawn ionic traces with kills. This arc aspect gives us also two fragment slots.
The fragments are very important in the build.
The fragments in this Arc Warlock build for Destiny2 all harmonize very well together. First, we have spark of ions which spawns an Ionic Trace when we kill a Jolted enemy.
This in combination with spark of shock, arc grenades jolts enemy works great together.
Then another great combination is spark of beacons which will cause our arc special weapon kills to trigger a blinding explosion. Because we are always amplified when we pick up an Ionic trace we are always amplified.
And to do even more damage with our grenade we use spark of magnitude which makes our pulse grenade last longer.
Synergies with Exotic Armor – Arc 3.0 Build Destiny 2 D2
To make our ultimate Arc 3.0 Build Warlock build for Destiny 2 D2 even better, we use the exotic helmet Fallen Sunstar. It boosts the effect of the Ionic Traces and makes our abilities decay even faster. It also has the nice side effect that the Ionic Traces move faster and close allies also benefit from it.
Mods and Stats – Arc Build Warlock Destiny 2 D2
For Warlock in general, I always recommend going for max Discipline and Resilience. In the best case 100 Discipline, 100 Resilience and 100 Recovery.
To get the maximum out of this build and at the same time play the best of the season I recommend the following mods:
- harmonic siphon (helmet / 1 any energy)
- melee wellmaker (any armor / 4 any energy)
- font of might (any armor / 4 any energy)
- bountiful wells (any armor / 2 solar energy)
- elemental ordnance (any armor / 3 any energy)
- heavy handed (any armor / 7 arc energy)
Fill Up with:
Discipline / Resilience Mods to get as near to 100 / 100 as possible.
- recuperation (Legs / 1 solar energy)
- impact induction (arms / 3 solar energy)
For a good example of how you could distribute the mods look at the following images:
Playstyle – Arc 3.0 Warlock Destiny 2 D2
This Arc 3.0 Warlock build for Destiny 2 is designed to use Ionic Traces to charge your abilities and strengthen your weapon. So it is very good for add clear and also has a nice damage output. With the exotic helmet Sunstar we also support our allies by giving them ability energy whenever we pick up an ionic trace. And because we get a lot of ability energy back we can put a healing rift in almost every situation which makes our warlock build for destiny2 very popular also in group activities like ketchcrash or wellspring.
Recommended Weapons – Arc 3.0 BUILD Warlock Destiny 2 D2
For our Arc 3.0 warlock build in Destiny 2, only the energy weapon is crucial – the primary and heavy weapons can be adjusted according to the circumstances. Depending on whether sustain single target dps, burst dps or add clear is required, I would swap the weapons.
Why this build harmonizes so particularly well is our weapons exotic Delicate Tomb. Deathblows with this weapon have a chance to spawn ionic traces. By collecting these ionic traces, you overload the weapon and it starts to jolt enemies on hit. This, in conjunction with our exotic helmet, allows us to recharge our abilities extremely quickly and the weapon remains overcharged at all times.
Focus on ADD CLEARING
- Ambitious Assassin
- Extended Mag
- Rampage / Dragonfly
Blood feud is a really good kinetic SMG in Destiny2 with stasis damage. With the changes to ambitious assassin this weapon can be overloaded up to 150%. And since it is cartable you can even put the improved perks on it which makes the reloading bearable.
Commemoration with extended mag and reconstruction is just so fun to play because you never have to reload and you can shoot around forever.
Focus on BURST DAMAGE
- Ambitious Assassin
- Impact casing
- Explosive light
To do real burst damage, The Hothead is especially worthwhile with the perk combination demolitionist and explosive light. First fire a rocket, then throw our strong fusion grenade and follow it up with another rocket. This works best if one of the team shoots a Gjallarhorn first because then you can benefit from the wolfpack rounds.
Focus on sustain damage / overall damage output
- Ambitious Assassin
- Liquid Coil / Enhanced Battery
- Fourth times the charm
- Bait and switch
With Cataclysmic you have enormous damage potential. If you activate bait and switch (do damage with every equipped weapon) you get 35% more damage for 10 seconds. This combined with Fourth times the charm has a great constant damage output while the DPS is also very good.
