Freeze everything Destiny 2 D2 Warlock Build

Build Setup – Warlock Build Freeze everything BEST ENDGAME BUILD Destiny 2 D2

Welcome to the Freeze everything BEST ENDGAME BUILD for Destiny 2.

This build is so strong that even the toughest grandmaster nightfall or master raid becomes a piece of cake. at the beginning it takes some getting used to. If you follow the build exactly, you have a 100% uptime from the stasis turret and properly combined you can bring a mass of enemies under control of what other classes in Destiny 2 D2 only dream of.

All these aspects make the Warlock Build Freeze everything for Destiny 2 such good.

  • Very good Crowd control
  • Works especially well in Master Raids and Grandmaster Nightfall’s
  • Nice synergies with exotic armor
  • Very good uptime of Turret
Overview Warlock Build Destiny 2 D2

Skill Tree – BEST ENDGAME BUILD Warlock Destiny 2 D2

To achieve this excellent survivability and Crowd control it is important to choose the right Abilities, Aspects and Fragments.

With the Class Ability you should generally always take HEALING RIFT.

With the Jump you take the one that fits best for you. I always take Strafe Glide.

With the Grenade it doesn’t matter so much in the build because we overload it most of the time anyway and throw the Turret. Nevertheless, I recommend the GLACIER GRENADE to block a path or an opponent in hectic situations.

The Aspects are very important now. First we take BLEAK WATCHER because this is the core of our build. Second we take the ICEFLARE BOLTS with this combination you get this super synergy effect of enemies freezing by bleak watcher and then by destroying the first enemy whole masses are frozen.

Now it gets interesting with the fragments.
First, WHISPER OF TORMENT comes in to benefit from this increased grenade charge whenever you are hit.

Second, we use WHISPER OF DURANCE because this fragment increases the duration of our Stasis Turret from about 26 seconds to 31 seconds.

So that the enemies are not just frozen for a short time and then continue to run, we use WHISPER OF FISSURES as the next fragment. This ensures that when you kill a frozen enemy, all the enemies in the vicinity also shatter.

As a good last we take WHISPER OF CHAINS with us. This gives us a super strong defense buff as long as we are near a frozen enemy or a stasis crystal. Additionally it gives us a +10 buff to our recovery.

  • WHISPER OF DURANCE Destiny 2 D2
  • WHISPER OF TORMENT Destiny 2 D2
  • SHISPER OF FISSURES Destiny2 D2

Synergies with Exotic Armor – BEST ENDGAME BUILD freeze anything Destiny 2 D2

To make our FREEZE EVERYTHING warlock build for Destiny 2 D2 even better we use the EYE OF ANOTHER WORLD exotic helmet. This gives us even less ability cooldown and ensures that we have our turret ready all the time.

To make the effect a bit more understandable the following example: At 100 discipline we have 58 seconds grenade cooldown without Eye of another world.
With the exotic helmet we have only 49 seconds grenade cooldown. This is optimal for our build because everything is built around the grenade.

Of course, the grenade is not the only thing buffed by the helmet, the melee skill and the rift also have shorter cooldowns which is very handy for survival and team support.

Mods and Stats – BEST ENDGAME BUILD Warlock Destiny 2 D2

For Warlock in general, I always recommend going for max Discipline and Recovery. In the best case 100 Discipline 100 Recovery 70 Resilience and 70 Intellect. Why exactly tier 7 for intellect and resilience?

With Tier 7 Resilience, many annoying snipers in Grandmaster Nightfalls no longer kill you One Hit even without having Sniper Resilience equipped on the chest. This allows me to play an element of Resilience adjusted to the activity and which enemies are in there.

Up to Tier 7 Intellect you get 23 seconds less cooldown per higher Intellect level. On Tier 8 but only 13 that is then such a small increase that it is almost no longer worth it to pay attention to it.

  • Discipline Stat Destiny 2 D2
  • Resilience Stat Destiny 2 D2
  • Recovery Stat Destiny 2 D2
  • Stasis Intellect Stat Destiny 2 D2

To get the maximum out of this build and at the same time play the best of the season I recommend the following mods:

Must-Have:

  • Protective Light (Void)
  • Taking Charge
  • Particle Deconstruction (Class Item)
  • Grenade Kickstart (Stasis / Gauntlets)
  • Concussive Dampener (Chest)
  • Resonance Siphon (Class Item)
If there are no champions in the activity use Bomber instead ( Class Item/Solar)
  • Solar/Arc/Void Resistance
(If you can’t get to Tier 7 Resilience use Sniper Resistance)  (Chest)

Fill Up with:

  • Discipline / Recovery / Resilience Mods to get as near to 100 / 100 / 70 as possible.
(I do not recommend using Intellect Mods since they need 5 Energy)
  • Fusion Ammo finder (Helmet)
  • Recuperation (Solar / Legs)
  • Fusion Scavenger (Legs)

For a good example of how you could distribute the mods look at the following images.

Playstyle – BEST ENDGAME BUILD Warlock Destiny 2 D2

With our Freeze Everything build, it is important to place your Stasis Turret in the right place early enough. Then you place yourself in an angle where the opponents can’t see you. As soon as you see that the first enemy is frozen you go around the corner and shoot at the frozen enemy to shatter it and damage or freeze all enemies nearby.

Once things get out of hand you can activate the super and take out masses of small enemies or keep larger enemies at bay with constant freezing.

Another very helpful tip is when overload or unstop champions spawn to stun them constantly because the stasis will make the champion stunnable again. but since we get grenade energy from Resonance Siphon every time a champion is stunned we can even set up 2 or 3 turrets that way.

Recommended Weapons – BEST ENDGAME BUILD Warlock Destiny 2 D2

For our Warlock Build for best possible survivability and crowd control, different loadouts are well suited. Depending on the activity, I recommend other weapons. Below I have listed various loadouts for general PvE activities. Depending on how far you have already progressed in the game. Specific raid or grandmaster setups can be found here.

Focus on add clearing

The last breath Roll Destiny 2 D2

The Last Breath

  • Demolitionist
  • Frenzy
Null Composure Fusion Rifle Destiny 2

Null Composure

  • Feeding Frenzy
  • High-Impact Reserves
Gjallarhorn Exotic Destiny 2 D2

Gjallarhorn

  • Pack Hunter

The Last Breath is for me the best Autorifle in Destiny 2 D2. The possible perk combinations are incredibly good, my favorite is Demolitionist and Frenzy,  best still with good range / reload run, magazine and masterwork. The synergy with our Warlock Build which is focused on grenades is awesome. For every kill with The Last Breath you get 10% of your grenade back.

The Null Composure is incredibly good in the current meta. Depending on the encounter it is worth to switch to Reservoir Burst and then always fire a shot and reload to benefit all the time from this AOE explosion.

Gjallarhorn is back and strong as ever. With the Catalyst you get a two shot magazine. Super good for doing quick burst damage on a champion/boss. But also the Wolfpack Rounds are incredibly efficient for quick add clear.

Focus on damage output / burst damage
