Grandmaster Nightfalls are the most difficult level of Nightfalls in Destiny 2 D2. All fireteam members must be at or above 1345 Power to play this activity. Higher Power than 1345 is useless in Grandmaster Nightfalls because you will always be lowered to 1345 if you are higher.
The Opponents are always at 1370 which means 25 power above us. Thus, every opponent, no matter how small, becomes a deadly danger.

Overview Champions and Shields – The Devils Lair GM NF Destiny 2 D2
Champions
Because there are Fallen and Hive in this Strike there are the following Champions:
Shields
Arc, Solar and Void Shields are present in this Grandmaster Nightfall in Destiny 2 D2. Keep in mind that in this Activity Match Game is always active and therefore any Shield, no matter how small, without the matching elemental damage can become a huge problem.
Most present are Arc Shields because of the Captain and Knights.
Solar shields can be found on the Hive Witches, which can be annoying because they are constantly hovering in cover as soon as their shield is broken.
Void shields are the least common, they are only found on the small Servitors that protect the Boss in the final battle.
Classes and Supers – The Devils Lair GM NF Destiny 2 D2
Here I show you a possible Class Setup with the matching exotic Armor. There are of course many possible setups but I will show you the simplest and safest.
Person 1
Shadebinder
Person 1 has the task of keeping the enemy crowd in control. With the help of Stasis Turrets, Melee Ability and the Shadebinder Super, entire hordes of enemies can be eliminated quickly and efficiently. Also very helpful can be the freezing of Opponents at the right moment, for example to revive or so that the teammate can get closer to finish.
The matching exotic here is Eye of another World. It gives even faster ability cooldowns and allows the warlock to have the turret up all the time.
Person 2
Attunement of Grace
Person 2 is the absolute Supporter. He heals the Team, creates ammunition, boosts the damage and weakens the opponents.
With Benevolent Dawn, the Rift regenerates so quickly as long as there is at least one ally in it that you can have it up all the time. With Divine Protection you turn your grenade into a Blessing that heals yourself and/or your allies and gives you an over shield, so you can throw support to a buddy who is stuck somewhere. With the Well of Radiance you create an area where everyone is healed and your damage is pushed up, it is great for a section where either many Champions come at the same time or a lot of damage must come on a Boss/Miniboss.
Person 2 plays Aeon Swift to generate Heavy Ammo for the other two by finishing Champions.
Person 3
Void Titan
Code of the Commander
Person 3 is a mixture of explosions and support. With his Abilities he makes the Enemies explode in masses. With his Super, however, he blocks the enemy’s shots and boosts your weapon damage. The super is also perfect for reviving someone who died in a bad place.
To get the most out of his abilities, Person 3 uses the Heart of inmost Light. When using one of its Abilities, it strengthens the other two and reduces the Cooldown. The smartest thing to do is to put the barricade somewhere first and then throw a grenade.

Here I show you a Loadout Setup with the matching exotic Weapon. There are of course many possible setups but I will show you the simplest and safest. It works best if you let the Person 1 from above also down here Person 1 and so on.
Person 1
Primary Slot : Arbalest is simply too good here. Because it now has the integrated Anti Barrier and refills its magazine with its Catalyst when you break a shield, the thing is just a bomb against Anti Barrier Champions. But even apart from that it does great damage over a good range.
Secondary Slot: Here we take a Arc Bow to be able to stun Overload Champions in case of emergency. The Arsenic Bite is a very good Arc Bow due to its superior perk combination. Perk recommendation:

Heavy Slot: In the heavy slot i recommend to take a Linear Fusion Rifle with you. It’s so easy in combination with the Divinity to blow away Champions in no time. With our Class Setup, we’re able to smack away large numbers of small enemies with abilities, so it doesn’t matter that we only have single target weapons with us. A good Linear Fusion Rifle here is the Threaded Needle as it has great Perks and also brings Void to destroy the Shields around the Boss. Perk recommendation:
- Auto-loading Holster
- Vorpal Weapon
Person 2
Primary slot: Does not play a big role, here for example a blinding Grenade Launcher or simply a Weapon with a good range is suitable.
Secondary Slot: To kill all the Champions in this Grandmaster Nightfall quickly and from far away we use Divinity. It makes our lives so much easier and especially in combination with Linear Fusion Rifles it is really the best.
In order for Person 2 to have something to defend himself, it is best to take a Heavy Machine Gun with him. Here, one with Void damage is well suited because the other elements are well covered with the Bows. A very strong Void Machine Gun is the Commemoration. My perk recommendation is:

Person 3

The other great option is Reeds Regret because of even better Perks. Perk recommendation:

How to proceed – The Devils Lair GM NF Destiny 2 D2
The first thing you do when you land is to find yourself in a scrum between the Hive and the Fallen. You can either get on your sparrow and drive straight through to the first room or run along the walls on the far left, preferably invisible. You don’t have to kill the first Overload Champion because it doesn’t affect the platinum reward.
After that follows a small room full of Hive. This should not be a problem because you can easily retreat at any time and play very safely.
As soon as you arrive at the big open room, the first difficult phase begins. After hacking, it is best to go to the places marked on the picture. From there you can kill everything step by step. Don’t get stressed because otherwise you will get those unnecessary team wipes.
After you have survived and defeated all three waves of enemies, another small room appears, this time full of traps. Here again play defensively, first kill everything small and then focus together the champion.
As soon as you get into the open area it becomes super dangerous. Straight ahead from where you come out are three snipers who will hit you just as close through the grass. Look at the picture for a good visualization. Here it is best to pull the Titan Super and just block so the other two can defeat the Barrier Servitor in peace. Then run a bit ahead and take cover behind the house. Be careful, there is also a sniper on the roof on the left side.
Then it is good to jump on the roof of the small building in front of you. Stay pretty far back so that you have a close view of the Walker. Then you start to shoot one leg at the same time and then with the linear fusion rifles on the weak point until the walker is dead. As soon as you hear a skiff, stop short and go down into the house and wait until the skiff is gone.
After that comes the boss room. Attention in the boss room before the final fight begins there are two Overload Champions and many opponents try as defensively as possible to kill everything small first so that you can maybe finish one or even both champions with aeon to fill your ammunition reserves.
At the boss there is a good save spot right when you come in on the left side through the door. Always be careful at the beginning, a Major Captain might get lost in there, just run down the stairs until he is out again. Always kill all the small enemies before you do boss.
