Hunter Builds for Destiny 2 D2
Welcome to the Hunter class build section for Destiny 2 D2. Here you can find all the Hunter builds that are optimized for the Destiny 2 D2. There are builds for all 3 Subtrees and for both PvE and PvP as well as beginner guides.
The Hunter builds that you can find here focus on optimizing your setup as much as possible, that way you can really perform as good as possible on your Hunter.
Nonetheless, I would always recommend getting the best setup like described in the build, to completely optimize your setup. Please keep in mind that combat changes occur all Season in Destiny 2 D2, therefore it is possible that certain Mods and Setups will change for your Hunter!

The Hunter Class
Quick on their feet and even quicker on the trigger, hunters blaze their own trail and write their own laws.
They use their speed to confuse, weaken, or even destroy opponents. With their unique jump they can get out of the most impossible situations and with a little practice you can land precisely where you want.
When you use the full power of the hunter class, everyone will fear your might.
The three Hunter Subclasses
Nightstalker
Draw from the Void. Light the Way.
The Nightstalker subclass is focused on enemy weakening and invisibility. With his super he also has a great way to control the crowd.
Gunslinger
A lone wolf who lives for the perfect shot.
The Gunslinger subclass is focused on damage and accuracy. You will be rewarded for shooting accurately with the throwing knife, your gun or the golden cannon. The burst damage from the golden cannon is still very high, especially with the celestial nighthawk.
Arcstrider
Flow like lightning. Strike like thunder.
The Arcstrider subclass is focused on speed and lightning. Especially in PvP the Arcstrider has found his home. Although there are also some exception builds in PvE that are quite funny.
Hunter Class Ability
The Hunter class in Destiny 2 has two class-specific abilities that you have to choose between. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Marksmans Dodge
Dodge to perform an evasive maneuver with a steady hand. Dodging automatically reload your weapon.
I recommend Marksman’s Dodge whenever you use a weapon that doesn’t have reload perks and a long reload animation. For example Rocket Launcher. Especially in damage phases at raid bosses or other time-limited damage phases it can make a lot of difference.
Gamblers Dodge
Dodge to perform a deft tumble, avoiding enemy attacks. Dodging near enemies fully recharges your Melee Ability.
I recommend Gamblers Dodge whenever you need your melee skill a lot. Especially with the Nightstalker it is an absolute must have to make you invisible more often. But also with the stasis subclass I always use Gamblers Dodge to throw my shuriken more often.
